Job Description - Advanced Practitioner Fellowship

Location: Remote In-Clinic (Prioritizing candidates located in: AL, VA, SC, FL, AR, NC)

Position Type: Part-Time Employment/Full-Time Fellowship with intent to progresto full or part-time medical provider

Prerequisite: Must have FEMM Medical Management Intro and Masterclass Courses completed prior to day one.

Start Date: January 2027

About the Role and Who We Are:

Reproductive Health Medicine Gynecology is grounded in reproductive endocrinology, reproductive physiology, and reproductive immunology. We combine evidence-based medical evaluation with cycle-informed, individualized care to better understand hormonal patterns, ovulation, and the underlying contributors to reproductive health concerns. Our clinical approach aligns with established medical society guidelines and integrates methodologies informed by FEMM/RHRI, Creighton Model FertilityCare System (CrMS)/NaProTechnology, and Marquette-based approaches. For more information about RHM Gynecology, please visit our website at rhmgyn.com!

This fellowship is structurally designed to transition a certified medical professional into an expert restorative reproductive medicine provider through a deliberate, three-term mentorship model, culminating in a long-term, hourly position within our practice.

Fellowship Structure & Terms

Term 1 (January - April): Clinical Shadowing & Immersion

  • Status: Unpaid / Onboarding Phase

  • Focus: Observational learning and structural integration.

  • Expectations: You will closely shadow one of our senior medical providers. This term allows you to observe real-world applications of restorative protocols, master our electronic health records system, and understand our cooperative approach to patient care without the pressure of managing a solo caseload. Active studying and research outside of observational hours are expected.

Term 2 (May - August): Independent Practice (Reduced Schedule)

  • Status: Stipend-Compensated

  • Focus: Transitioning to primary patient care at an adjusted pace.

  • Expectations: You will begin treating your own patients at a reduced schedule restricted to a maximum of 6 patients per day under the supervision of a senior medical provider. This ensures ample time for chart review, thorough case analysis, and ongoing peer collaboration.

Term 3 (September - December): Full Practice (Guided Autonomy)

  • Status: Stipend-Compensated

  • Focus: Scaling to a full clinical load with immediate clinical backup.

  • Expectations: You will graduate to a standard, full daily schedule of patients. While you will be the primary provider, you will operate under the direct guidance and active mentorship of a senior medical provider to review complex cases and refine your treatment plans.

Post-Fellowship: Hourly Paid Provider

Upon successful completion of all three terms, fellows will transition directly into a permanent, hourly position with benefits as an established provider at Reproductive Health Medicine & Gynecology

Required Qualifications & Prerequisites

  • Crucial Requirement: FEMM Medical Management Intro and Masterclass Courses MUST be fully completed and certified before your official first day of the fellowship. Applications without this completed (or with a confirmed completion date prior to start) will not be considered.

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical provider license (MD, DO, NP, or PA) capable of practicing within the United States.

  • Geographic Focus: While all qualified candidates are welcome to apply, we are actively prioritizing candidates residing or licensed in Alabama (AL), Virginia (VA), South Carolina (SC), Florida (FL), Arkansas (AR), and North Carolina (NC).

  • Philosophy: A deep alignment with the mission at Reproductive Health Medicine & Gynecology and restorative reproductive health principles, viewing ovulation as a vital sign of systemic health and prioritizing root-cause diagnostic interventions over symptom-masking options such as birth control.

RHM Benefits:

  • RHM Fellows are eligible for 6 days of PTO during their fellowship year.

  • Eligible for 401(k) participation after one year with employer match

  • Health share benefits for full-time staff

  • Vision and Dental coverage for full-time staff

Please submit your CV, personal statement, 2 letters of recommendation and official transcriptions as well as proof of your FEMM Medical Management certification (or registration details for an upcoming session) with your application.
