The Position:
The Advanced Solutions Lead is responsible for the strategic direction, development, enhancement, and commercialization of the company's software products, digital capabilities, and associated intellectual property. This role serves as the primary technical bridge between customers, business leadership, and our development teams, ensuring solutions align with market opportunities, customer requirements, and organizational objectives.The ideal candidate is an innovator, problem-solver, and mentor who can transform ideas into scalable solutions, leverage emerging technologies, and drive business growth. In this role, you will specifically serve as the technical lead and guide for our core software engineering team (focused on simulation modeling) and our interactive visualization team (focused on Unity 3D environments). This position combines product strategy, technical leadership, customer engagement, and solution delivery to ensure the company maintains a differentiated and competitive portfolio of capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Strategy & Innovation
- Define and maintain the vision, strategy, and roadmap for software products and advanced solution offerings.
- Identify customer needs, operational challenges, market opportunities, and emerging technology trends.
- Prioritize initiatives based on customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Drive innovation through the evaluation, adoption, and integration of new technologies, analytics, and advanced digital solutions.
- Spearhead the technical roadmap to transition standalone simulation logic and 3D visualization assets into unified, state-synchronized digital twin environments.
- Manage solution lifecycle planning from concept through deployment, enhancement, and retirement.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership for software architecture, solution design, and product development efforts.
- Serve as the primary technical guide and mentor for cross-functional developer tracks, including simulation engineers and Unity 3D visualization developers.
- Guide technical decision-making to bridge game engines with data modalities, moving 3D assets from post-processed animations to real-time, state-driven environments.
- Support the evolution of cloud-native, AI-enabled, and data-driven solutions, including the integration of AI optimization layers (e.g., Reinforcement Learning) to automate workflow exploration.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with customer requirements.
Solution Development & Delivery
- Translate customer and business requirements into actionable solution capabilities, software specifications, user stories, and development priorities.
- Manage development priorities, release schedules, sprint tracks, and delivery milestones across cross-functional resource teams.
- Oversee the design and implementation of modular, extensible APIs to automate enterprise data ingestion and parsing.
- Support rigorous testing, verification and validation (V&V), deployment, and continuous improvement activities to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage directly with customers, partners, and senior agency stakeholders to understand complex mission requirements and physical operational challenges.
- Build trusted relationships across executive, operational, technical, and customer organizations.
- Communicate complex technical strategy, analytical capabilities, and AI-driven simulation outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
