Job Description - After School Group Leader - Youth Activities

Are you passionate about working with youth and creating safe, engaging spaces for learning and growth? Join CORA Services as an After School Group Leader - Youth Activities, and help empower children to thrive through compassionate and high-quality programming. As part of our Community Services Division, you’ll be a key player in our Out-of-School Time (OST) programming.
What You’ll Do
Mentoring: Build strong, positive relationships with a small group of students.
Leading: Facilitate fun and educational activities, including Social Emotional Learning, STEM projects, and outdoor games.
Teaching: Implement a curriculum that focuses on literacy and social-emotional development.
Supervising: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during program time and on field trips.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and supportive environment.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
High school diploma or GED
At least 2,500 hours of experience working with children (after-school, camp, classroom, babysitting, or volunteer settings, etc.)
Commitment to professionalism, safety, and making a difference in the lives of young people!
Preferred:
Experience in after-school/OST, camp or recreational settings
CPR/First Aid certification
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.)
Schedule & Compensation:
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule Options: All positions are Monday to Friday
After School: 2:15pm-6:00pm

Olney Elementary School – 5301 Water St.
Disston Elementary School - 6801 Cottage St.
J. Hampton Moore School - 6900 Summerdale Ave.
Northwood Academy Charter School – 4621 Castor Ave.
Thurgood Marshall School - 5120 N 6th St.
Joseph H. Brown Elementary – 3600 Stanwood St.
George Washington High School – 10175 Bustleton Ave.
