The After School Teacher at Strata Learning helps create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where children continue learning, building relationships, and exploring new interests beyond the school day. Through hands-on enrichment, outdoor play, homework support, collaborative projects, and meaningful connections, our educators help children develop confidence, independence, and lifelong skills.
Strata After School serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade at Ortega and Sunset Ridge Schools in Pacifica.

Part-Time Schedule
Approximately 20 hours per week
Typically 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Shifts are generally scheduled between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, depending on school dismissal times and program needs
No nights, weekends, or major holidays
Additional hours may be available during school breaks and summer camps

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Lead engaging games, enrichment activities, arts and crafts, STEM projects, sports, and other enrichment experiences.
Support students with homework and encourage academic success.
Foster a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels welcome and valued.
Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and teammates.
Maintain organized, clean, and welcoming program spaces.
Model professionalism, teamwork, and positive behavior.
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
Some college units in a field related to education.
Experience working with children through schools, childcare, camps, tutoring, coaching, recreation, or volunteer programs is preferred, but not required.
Reliable with excellent attendance and consistent punctuality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children.
