Job Summary

The Agricultural Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and oversight of state agricultural programs that promote sustainable farming, natural resource conservation, and industry growth. This position ensures program effectiveness by coordinating activities, managing program logistics, engaging the public, and ensuring compliance with state and federal agricultural policies.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, development, and execution of agricultural and natural resource programs.
Monitor program effectiveness, track key performance indicators, and recommend improvements.
Coordinate logistics for program activities, workshops, training sessions, and outreach events.
Maintain accurate program records, reports, and documentation for compliance and evaluation purposes.
Respond to inquiries from the public, industry professionals, and government officials regarding program details.
Assist in the development of educational materials, presentations, and informational resources.
Ensure program activities align with state and federal agricultural and environmental laws, policies, and best practices.
Assist in the preparation of reports, grant applications, and regulatory filings.
Collaborate with compliance officers and inspectors to ensure adherence to guidelines.
Support the management of program budgets, grant funding, and financial tracking.
Assist in the identification of funding opportunities, grant applications, and resource allocations.

Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of agriculture, natural resource conservation, and farming operations.
Familiarity with state and federal agricultural and environmental regulations.
Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and track program performance.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for public engagement, report writing, and public collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of two years’ experience in agricultural programs, farm management, natural resources conservation, or program coordination.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of common firefighting equipment and practices in Arkansas

  • Familiarity with hauling heavy equipment to include truck tractors, fire trucks, and pick-ups.
