Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for an Aircraft Inspector Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position requires on-site support located in Clearfield, UT.\n\nRole:\n\nProvide Manufacturing and Mission Assurance support for process inspection, part inspection, and other related responsibilities relating to quality. Inspects aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications. Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies and final product. Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May communicate directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Conduct part and process inspections, using various gauges and measurement tools, to meet Customer requirements\n\n * Understand relevant specifications, tolerances, and process requirements and apply them to parts and processes\n\n * Record and document results of measurements for traceability and document control\n\n * Read and understand technical documents to include drawings, work instructions, and technical instructions\n\n * Identify and document discrepant parts and measurements for evaluation by engineering personnel in appropriate MRB format\n\n * Basic understanding of the quality requirements listed in AS9100 and DCMA\n\n * Communicate with multiple levels of Manufacturing and Mission Assurance employees to convey relevant information, requirements, and discrepancies\n\n * Learn and understand the various software programs used in the facility\n\n * Support Manufacturing and Engineering, as needed, to include RCCA, follow up tasks related to MRB, evaluation of repairs / rework, and internal audits\n\n * General responsibilities include monitoring for unsafe practices, support inspection training, collecting / compiling documents for FAI\u2019s, FOD related activities, and other tasks as assigned by management\n\n * Must maintain all NG expectations including timecard tracking, performance goals, and other requirements listed in the employee handbook\n\n\n\n\nThis position may be filled at either an Aircraft Inspector Level 2 or Aircraft Inspector Level 3 \n\nBasic Qualifications for Aircraft Inspector Level 2:\n\n * High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection role\n\n * Experience utilizing various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools\n\n * Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies\n\n * Understanding of GD\u0026T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications, and related criteria\n\n * Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead.\n\n * Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time\n\n * Must pass visual exam \n\n * The ability to pass New Hire Physical/Respiratory Exam\n\n * Must be willing to work any shift/schedule as determined by business needs\n\n * Active DoD Secret clearance and must have the ability to obtain and maintain PAR within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Aircraft Inspector Level 3:\n\n * High school diploma or GED and at least 4 years of additional education and/or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection role\n\n * Experience utilizing various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools\n\n * Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies\n\n * Understanding of GD\u0026T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications, and related criteria\n\n * Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead\n\n * Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time\n\n * Must pass visual exam \n\n * The ability to pass New Hire Physical/Respiratory Exam\n\n * Must be willing to work any shift/schedule as determined by business needs\n\n * Active DoD Secret clearance and must have the ability to obtain and maintain PAR within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active PAR\n\n * Strong Computer skills\n\n * Ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications, and related criteria\n\n * Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results\n\n * Experience working in a team environment to solve problems and balance workloads\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $62,700.00 - $104,500.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
