Recreational Therapist / Activities Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational activities, outings, and music programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities

- Foster a lively, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages socialization and participation

- Assess residents’ preferences and needs to develop personalized activity plans

- Collaborate with staff and family members to enhance residents’ quality of life

- Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all activities

- Track and document residents’ participation and progress in activities

- Stay informed about new activity ideas, trends, and best practices in senior recreation

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in recreational therapy, activities coordination, or a related field

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Creativity and enthusiasm to inspire and motivate seniors

- Ability to plan and execute diverse activities for a senior population

- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature

- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in senior care

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in recreational therapy or related field preferred
