Job Description - American Sign Language Interpreter

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Worksite: On-site
Position: Full-time
Schedule: 30hours/week
Requirements:

Over 2 years of sign language interpretation experience.
Proficient in ASL and relevant sign languages.
Certified or holds a degree in sign language interpretation.
Understands diverse communication needs and legal/ethical considerations.

Duties:
The Sign Language Interpreter shall:

Accurately interpret sign language in diverse settings.
Stay current with language trends and legal considerations.
Adapt to various environments, including meetings and evaluations.
Prioritize confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
Collaborate with clients to understand communication preferences.
Be flexible in scheduling and responsive to additional requests.
