Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Manager | High Performance Radar

Job Description - Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Manager | High Performance Radar

Description

Change the world. Love your job.
Texas Instruments develops mm-Wave (77GHz and 60GHz) radar devices targeted for automotive and industrial end equipment.  We were the first in the industry to bring a fully-integrated CMOS 77GHz FMCW automotive radar to market, winning several industry awards at the time. Since then, the Radar product portfolio has grown to target applications in robotics, security, personal electronics, building automation and many others. Radar products bring together a unique blend of advanced mmWave/analog design, integration with high performance SoC, and innovative packaging techniques to address a wide variety of applications.

TI’s High-Performance Radar (HPR) business is seeking an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Manager. In this role, the candidate will be tasked with leading a team of 3-5 early career analog design engineers to build best-in-class analog and mixed-signal IPs (PLLs, ADCs, DACs, filters, LDOs) to integrate into the mmWave Radar front-end sub-system. The candidate will assess the system-level requirements for the Radar application, drive architectural analysis to provide the best balance across power, performance, and die area metrics, and oversee the design implementation as well as ensure thorough verification is performed to guarantee first-pass silicon success. Additionally, the design manager will be responsible for reviewing post-silicon performance reports from the validation and product engineering teams and driving debug actions, as necessary, with other R&D team members.

The manager will be a highly-visible technical leader within the organization, responsible for defining and executing IC design R&D roadmaps that will support further differentiation of HPR’s market-leading product portfolio. The candidate will provide guidance to business and application teams regarding future product development plans and may be called upon to be a line for direct customer communication when deep technical topics need to be discussed. Finally, the design manager will be responsible for selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient operation of the business.
