About the Position:

Performance Trust Capital Partners is seeking an Analyst to join Team SUMMIT, part of our Balance Sheet Strategy / Financial Institutions Group platform. This role is designed for an analytically minded, highly motivated professional who wants to build a career in institutional financial services. The Analyst will support experienced BSS professionals as they advise community and middle-market banks, credit unions, insurance companies, and other institutional investors on fixed income portfolios, balance sheet strategy, and related financial solutions. 

The Analyst will gain exposure to consultative financial sales, portfolio and balance sheet analytics, market research, client materials, and the collaborative work of BSS sales, trading, analytics, and banking teams. Successful candidates will have opportunities to develop their selling, trading, and analytical capabilities based on their individual strengths and interests. This role will be based in our Chicago, Illinois office and will be fully on-site (5 days per week in the office). We are accepting Spring 2026 and Winter 2026 graduation years, as this will be a 2026 hire. Spring/Summer/Winter 2027 graduates are not applicable for this role.

Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the following:

• Acquire a working, technical knowledge of fixed income products, investment portfolio and balance sheet strategy, technology resources, and the firm’s operating model. 
• Understand the interconnected, collaborative roles of our sales, trading, and analytics organizations in addressing client interests. 
• Research, compile, and present data aimed at improving client outcomes, trading efficiency, sales effectiveness, and business intelligence. 
• Use proprietary financial models to forecast institutions’ balance sheets and income statements across a range of potential scenarios. 
• Frame and integrate findings into clear, coherent presentations that identify trends, action steps, and investment considerations for clients. 
• Support the preparation of client analyses, portfolio reviews, market updates, and other materials used by BSS professionals. 
• Evaluate the potential viability of new product opportunities and the means to effectively deploy resources to develop and launch those initiatives. 
• Collaborate with sales, trading, analytics, banking, and other internal partners to deliver high-quality work product. 
• Develop selling, trading, and analysis skills appropriate to your individual talents and interests. 

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, finance, economics, engineering, computer science, or statistics. 
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. 
• Ability to quickly gain an understanding of Bloomberg and proprietary research applications. 
• Evidence of structured thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. 
• Strong task-execution skills, with the ability to prioritize and adjust workload as required. 
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively under pressure. 
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills. 
• Enthusiasm and curiosity for the financial markets. 
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. 
• License Requirements: Maintain active FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 or ability to obtain licenses within 120 days of hire date

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $75,000-90,000 per year. This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
