Description

Responsible for reporting and analyzing financial variances of ongoing operations and building forecast and budgets. Also responsible for developing, tracking, and analyzing recommendations for Operating Expenses. Works on special projects as determined by the business. Provides insight for commericial and operational leaders in making critical business decisions through technical and analytical expertise.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare detailed annual financial budgets and monthly financial forecasts for all Crew Related Costs

  • Special projects as determined by the needs of the business covering all areas of Shipboard Finance 

  • Monitor and track financial performance, and analyze variances

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and assist other finance teams as required   

  • Develop junior team members, constantly seeking opportunities to improve and promote an environment of teamwork and high professional standards.

Essential/Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Advanced proficiency in Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, and Oracle

  • Financials or similar database systems 

  • Proficiency in Tableau

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to adapt easily to change in dynamic environment

  • Mastery with financial statement analysis

  • Must be able to critically think, problem solve, and perform root cause analysis under ambiguity

  • Highly analytical and detail oriented with a strong business sense

  • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion, coordinate action plans, and implement actionable strategies

  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize work-load, and achieve effective results

  • Strong ability to problem-solve under ambiguity, adapts readily and easily to changes, and has the drive to challenge the limits of their professional skills

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential..

Physical Demands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

 

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. 

 

Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
