Position Overview: The Analyst/Senior Analyst, VBC Analytics & Insights leads the translation of Vitae's value-based care data, including LEAD ACO performance data, into actionable insights for leadership, clinical partners, and operational stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, Value-Based Care Operations, this role owns analytics output and reporting for Vitae's VBC programs and partners closely with Vitae's data and analytics platform vendor, which manages the underlying data pipeline and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and communication skills paired with enough technical depth to effectively oversee a third-party data and analytics vendor, including evaluating data quality, informing platform requirements, and resolving technical issues. This is an analytics-first role: success depends on the ability to translate complex CMS and claims data into clear, actionable insight for non-technical audiences, rather than on building or maintaining data infrastructure directly.
Responsibilities:
Analytics & Reporting
Develop and maintain VBC reporting and dashboards on total cost of care, utilization, quality performance, attribution, and shared savings.
Produce ad hoc analysis for VBC and clinical leadership to support decisions.
Translate clinical and claims data into population health insight.
Present findings clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Vendor & Platform Oversight
Serve as Vitae's primary point of contact with the organization's analytics platform partner on data quality, reporting needs, and issue resolution.
Evaluate partner's outputs for accuracy and completeness; escalate and track remediation on data quality issues.
Manage user access, refresh schedules, and reporting configuration on the analytics platform.
Recommend platform or data source enhancements as program needs evolve.
CMS Data Management & Program Compliance
Validate CCLF, quality, and attribution files against internal records; document and escalate discrepancies.
Track CMS data spec and file format changes and flag downstream impact.
Requirements
Required
· Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
3+ years in healthcare analytics, health informatics, or a related quantitative role.
Demonstrated ability to work with complex healthcare claims or CMS data (CCLF, quality files, attribution).
Track record of translating complex data into clear, decision-ready reporting for non-technical stakeholders.
Working knowledge of data architecture and pipeline concepts sufficient to evaluate a third-party analytics vendor's work. This role does not build or maintain pipelines directly.
High attention to detail, strong data quality instincts.
Preferred
Experience with post-acute or long-term care (SNF/LTC) population data
Direct REACH, LEAD, MSSP, or ACO experience.
Experience managing a vendor or platform relationship for data or analytics services.
Familiarity with how ETL pipelines and production data architecture are structured.
FHIR, interoperability, or population health platform familiarity.
