Meritus Health is currently hiring an Anesthesia Support Tech to join our collaborative perioperative team. This role is an essential part of delivering safe, efficient anesthesia care. You’ll support licensed anesthesia providers by preparing, organizing, and maintaining the equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration—excluding medication handling. Your work helps ensure smooth procedures, patient safety, and a dependable surgical environment rooted in compassion and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  Assist anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies needed for anesthesia care

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure rooms and equipment are properly set up, stocked, and functioning prior to procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Support safe patient care by following established protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor equipment needs and communicate issues promptly to maintain readiness

  
  


• 
  

  Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and safety standards at all times

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with perioperative team members to support efficient workflow and high‑quality care

  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• 
  

  High School Diploma or equivalent

  
  

Experience

• 
  

  Clinical or patient care experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  
  

Licensure/Certification

• 
  

  Current BLS (CPR) certification in compliance with policy

  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 
  

  Understanding of medical terminology related to anesthesia care

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and related supplies

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
