Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services and medical direction in accordance with facility protocols and standards of care
• Supervise and collaborate with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in a Care Team environment
• Perform pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels throughout surgical procedures
• Provide post-operative pain management and recovery room care as needed
• Maintain current knowledge of anesthesiology best practices and protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and credentialing requirements
• Cover backup call rotation on a limited basis

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency program
• Current or eligible for Texas medical licensure
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain
• Comfortable supervising CRNAs in an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care delivery
