Key Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia services and medical direction in accordance with facility protocols and standards of care
Supervise and collaborate with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in a Care Team environment
Perform pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels throughout surgical procedures
Provide post-operative pain management and recovery room care as needed
Maintain current knowledge of anesthesiology best practices and protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and credentialing requirements
Cover backup call rotation on a limited basis
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency program
Current or eligible for Texas medical licensure
Active DEA registration or ability to obtain
Comfortable supervising CRNAs in an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to patient safety and quality care delivery
