Architectural Drafter (Full Time, Maryland) 6367

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with 2D CAD and is comfortable developing and coordinating drawings through the Design Development and Construction Document phases, working across a variety of institutional building types including new free-standing churches, church renovations, academies, grade schools, and college buildings.

What you'll do:

  Develop and coordinate architectural drawings using 2D CAD across institutional and commercial projects.

  Assist in the preparation of drawings during the Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) phases.

  
  


• 
  

  Produce DD sets, including floor plans, sections, and elevations.

  
  


• 
  

  Produce CD permit sets for presentation to local authorities.

  
  


• 
  

  Produce CD sets for presentation to the general contractor.

  
  


• 
  

  Pick up redlines during both SD and CD phases.

  
  


• 
  

  Support the production of architectural details and technical documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide general drafting support across different drawing types within the DD and CD phases.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with the internal design team to ensure drawings are accurate and aligned with project requirements.

  
  

What you must have:

• 
  

  A degree in Architecture or a related field.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong proficiency in 2D CAD.

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of SketchUp.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience producing architectural drawings and construction documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to develop and coordinate architectural details.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working on commercial or institutional building projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and ability to follow project standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
