Armed Security Officer

Position Overview: Under the immediate supervision of the Security Supervisor, the Armed Security Officer identifies crime, security and safety risks in and around SMC facilities and initiates appropriate action to remove or reduce those risks. The Armed Security Officer also assists all patients, visitors and staff as needed. Competitive pay offered - apply today!

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education:

• Must be able to provide validation of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).

Job Requirements:

• Previous law enforcement experience required.


• Current or previous POST (Peace Officer’s Standards and Training) certification preferred. POST from other states will be considered.


• Must meet annual firearms qualifications requirements.


• Must possess a valid firearms permit.
