AS707 - Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant - Hockessin, DE

A kind father based in Hockessin, DE (20 minutes outside of Wilmington, DE, and 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia), is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant to help with their three children, ages 11, 9, and 6. This is a live-out role, so candidates must be local and able to commute daily. The schedule for this role is 40 hours per week- the children are in the home half of the time- on days with children (Tuesday, Thursday, and every other Friday) the hours will generally be 11am-7pm or 12-8pm. On days without children (Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday) the hours are totally flexible. Ideally the person in this role will have some flexibility for occasional help on weekends with the kids are in the home. The summer schedule is a bit different, so if a candidate is available and wants to start prior to August, that can be discussed. Alternatively, the family is open to the perfect person starting the role when the children go back to school in late August. 

• Caring for the children when they are in the home- supervising meal and hygiene routines 
• Transporting children from school and to activities and extracurriculars 
• Preparing meals for the children, occasionally preparing enough for the father as well 
• Daily tidying and organization (the family has someone who does weekly cleaning, so no deep cleaning is required) 
• Family laundry 
• Errands and grocery shopping
• Keeping track of household inventory 

• Experience with school-aged children
• Proactive and self-directed 
• Warm and kind 
• Comfortable in the kitchen and preparing basic meals 

• US work authorization 
• Local and within driving distance to Hockessin, DE
• Flexible for occasional weekend work 
• Driver's license (a car will be provided to drive the children, but the candidate should be comfortable using their own car for errands on days without the children) 

• $35-40/hr. 
• 2 weeks PTO (with potential for more when the family is traveling)
