Assembler

Stevens Industries is looking for an assembler to connect parts and hardware to complete cabinetry. This person will be responsible for ensuring the parts are correctly installed and are to good quality standards. Hand and power tools will be used to put parts together. Ability to read instructions and drawings is important to ensure correct products for customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Read and understand drawings of cabinetry

2. Repair minor scratches and imperfections in laminated pieces

3. Select parts based on measurements and specifications with a tape measure

4. Ability to align material (doors, hinges, and hardware) and put together parts to build more complex cabinets

5. Inspect parts for quality as assembling parts

6. Report issues in quality or process to team lead or supervisor

7. Operate scanning device to accurately place inventory of completed cabinets

8. Assist others as needed to complete projects

1. Ability to read drawing

2. Ability to use hand and power tools

3. Ability to use machines (wrapper and clamp) are preferred

4. Understanding of quality imperfections

5. Good communication skills both verbal and written

6. Excellent hand-eye coordination

7. Willingness to cross train for different job tasks in the area.

8. Provide assistance and cooperation with fellow associates.
