Eaton\u2019s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Assembler Tester. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.\n\nSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Assembler/Tester will be responsible for assembling and testing production hardware and incoming repair units while utilizing standard methods, processes, and procedures for both the OEM and Repairs Value Stream.\n\nPlease note, certain duties performed by this role require this position to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate and are subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing.\n\n * Assemble and test detailed electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on production, prototype, and/or returned electronic motors and actuators for aircrafts.\n * Use test equipment to perform in-process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).\n * Ensure assemblies are built to written instructions or blueprint specifications and completed to scheduled delivery dates. Prioritize work to ensure business goals are met. \n * Perform lock wire or safety wire processes \n * Utilize hand tools such as, but not limited to, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, and other basic hand tools as required.\n * Perform visual inspection, identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures.\n * Other duties as assigned. May be reassigned to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic (Required) Qualifications:\n\n * Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical assembly experience or manufacturing experience with testing.\n * Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.\n * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Grand Rapids, MI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n * This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u0027Green Card Holder\u0027), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
