Assembly and Production Associate

Value Added Distributors is hiring a full-time Assembly and Production Associate in Fort Payne, AL.

WHAT'S THE SCOPE?

You will earn $15 per hour and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and holiday pay.

You will work Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. This is a day shift job, so you will have your evenings and weekends free. If you want to work for a company that values hard work and teamwork, we want you on our team.

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER

As an Assembly and Production Associate, you will work with your supervisor and team to cut and put together hydraulic hoses. You will use hand tools and power tools, keep track of inventory, and fill out inspection paperwork. You will help your team meet goals and make sure products are made safely and correctly. You will also keep your work area clean and follow all safety rules. You will learn new skills and help solve any problems with products or processes as they come up.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• At least 18 years old


• Tool operation skills (saws, crimpers, forklifts; forklift training provided if needed)


• Willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions


• Reading comprehension of work instructions


• Safe lifting ability up to 65 lbs.


• Basic math skills and measurement knowledge (tape measures, calipers)


• Basic computer skills and typing speed of at least 25 words per minute


• Clear communication skills, multitasking ability, and efficiency


• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and cleanliness
