Assembly Technician

Responsibilities:

• **Breakout**: The operator must read technical schematics and strip the cable to the required length.


• **Prep**: The operator must strip the end of the breakout, apply numbered labels, and rubber boots.


• **Cleaving**: The operator must cleave the very tip of the fiber using a specialized scope.


• **Polishing**: The operator must follow a preset polishing recipe, use proper sanding pads, and ensure no dirt or spots are visible.


• **Testing**: The operator is required to test all connectors and ensure they meet testing requirements.

Required Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.


• Ability to showcase a positive attitude.


• Willing to learn and be part of a team environment.

Preferred Experience: 

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.


• Ability to read, write and understand English.


• Familiarity with fiber optics systems and components.


• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.


• Proficiency in connecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optics systems.


• Knowledge of optical fiber testing and measuring equipment.
