Job Title: Assistant Coach, Boys Basketball
Location: Grand Peak Academy
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Head Coach
Work Hours/Days: Part-Time, Seasonal Practice/game days,
Season Date: October 2026-January 2027
Hourly Wage Range:$1,000 one-time payout at the end of the season.
Key Responsibilities.
Instruct and work with athletes with guidance from the head coach to prepare them for competition
Report to the Head Coach and is responsible for assisting with the coaching program where the Head Coach deems necessary
Demonstrate leadership by implementation of expectations and direction of the program
Preparation of team for competition
Attend all practices and games
Assist with set up and take down of equipment for practices and games
Lead practices in extenuating circumstances when the Head Coach may not be present.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Previous coaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the sport
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
Concussion Training or willing to obtain such training.
Adherence to all GPA policies, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to traverse the sports complex, field, or court indoors and/or outdoors
