Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while helping create a welcoming community for residents? Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager to join our team at Creekside Apartments in Dallas.
This role is ideal for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting property operations, and working alongside a high-performing onsite team. As the Assistant Community Manager, you'll partner closely with the Community Manager to oversee daily operations, support leasing and resident retention, maintain financial accuracy, and contribute to the overall success of the community.
What You Will Do
- Support the daily operations of a multifamily apartment community alongside the Community Manager
- Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents in both English and Spanish
- Build strong relationships with residents while resolving concerns professionally and promptly
- Assist with leasing activities, apartment tours, lease preparation, and move-in coordination
- Process lease renewals and support resident retention initiatives
- Collect and post rent payments while assisting with delinquency management and legal notices in accordance with company policies
- Maintain accurate resident files, lease documentation, and property records
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and ensuring financial accuracy
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Yardi Voyager, and CRM software to manage daily operations
- Coordinate closely with the maintenance team to ensure service requests are completed promptly and residents receive outstanding service
- Assist with vendor coordination, invoice processing, and administrative responsibilities
- Support marketing initiatives, resident events, and community engagement activities
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming leasing office
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the community
What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Assistant Community Manager or property management experience in the multifamily industry, along with the following qualifications:
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Strong knowledge of multifamily leasing and property management operations
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience collecting rent, managing delinquency, renewals, and lease administration
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi Voyager and CRM software preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the onsite team
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to creating an outstanding resident experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
