Assistant Director of Nursing - Troy

Key Responsibilities

As the ADON, you will support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and play a vital role in managing nursing operations and maintaining care standards:

• Leadership & Supervision:
  • Assist with nursing management responsibilities and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Oversee daily staffing processes and foster effective communication among staff.
  • Support the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Clinical Operations:
  • Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds and manage infection control measures.
  • Ensure residents' medical needs are met and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Coordinate and direct the planning and implementation of nursing services.
• Flexibility & Responsiveness:
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support to address operational needs.
  • Adapt to unpredictable scheduling requirements to support facility operations.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY (required).
• 3+ years of experience in long-term care settings (required).
• 2+ years of management experience (preferred).
• 1+ year of staff education experience (preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
