Assistant F & B Manager

Assist with the daily operations of the Main Dining Room, Surfside Grill, bars, and banquet events. Support managers in delivering exceptional member and guest experiences by assisting service teams, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day execution. Work closely with culinary, catering, and front-of-house teams to provide outstanding hospitality throughout the club.

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the following: 

• Assist with the daily operations of the Main Dining Room, Surfside Grill, bars, and banquet events to ensure exceptional member and guest experiences.


• Support front-of-house staff by providing floor supervision, coordinating service, and assisting with staffing assignments and daily operations.


• Assist with banquet and private event execution, including room setup, service, and breakdown in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).


• Work collaboratively with culinary, catering, and club leadership to ensure efficient communication, timely service, and smooth operations.


• Help resolve member and guest concerns while maintaining Jonathan Club's hospitality and service standards.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food sanitation standards, responsible alcohol service, and club policies while supporting training and development of team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front-of-house supervisory role within a restaurant, private club, hotel, or hospitality environment.


• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.


• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from managers.

Hourly Wage: $28.00/hour
