Job Description - Assistant Manager

Experience in hiring, training, and retaining staff is a significant plus, as is proven leadership through coaching, directing, and motivating your team. A minimum of one year of experience as a shift lead or manager in full-service, casual dining, or quick service restaurants is required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous restaurant management or leadership role with a proven track record in quality guest service, team building, and people development.
  • Financial Insight: Familiarity with financial statements, sales/activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity and achieve goals.
  • Team-Oriented Approach: A strong aptitude for learning, coaching, and teamwork; capable of motivating, training, and holding a diverse staff accountable in a fast-paced setting.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent ability to manage time and priorities efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills with guests and team members alike.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with standard desktop software programs.
  • Additional Desirable Experience: Skills in managing inventory, scheduling, utilizing spreadsheets, labor management, and understanding P&L statements.
  • Profit Focus: A consistent drive to enhance profitability and drive sales growth.

Physical Requirements (including but not limited to):

  • Flexible Schedule: Ability to work various hours, including days, nights, weekends
  • Endurance: Capable of handling up to a 10-hour shift with extended periods of standing or walking.
  • Strength: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds during the workday.
  • Mobility: Will require bending, stooping, and occasional use of a ladder.
