Assistant Manager / Barista

· Assist in the daily operation of the coffee shop to ensure efficient and effective service. 

· Support the Coffee Shop Manager in supervising, coaching, and developing staff. 

· Help train new employees on customer service standards, food safety procedures, and operational expectations. 

· Provide excellent customer service and assist in resolving customer concerns or complaints. 

· Assist with scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage during business hours. 

· Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and products as needed. 

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company policies. 

· Support cash handling procedures, daily deposits, and accurate recordkeeping. 

· Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. 

· Help monitor employee performance and provide feedback to support growth and accountability. 

· Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Coffee Shop Manager. 

· Foster a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, professionalism, and excellent customer service.

· Previous customer service or food service experience required. 

· Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. 

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 

· Basic computer and cash-handling skills. 

· Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive attitude. 

· Flexible schedule, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
