Pediatric Critical Care Physician (Open Rank) Opportunity:
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) John Sealy School of Medicine in Galveston is seeking a full-time Pediatric Critical Care Physician, the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally recognized academic health system and a collaborative team of clinicians and researchers. 
 

This position offers the opportunity to engage in clinical care, contribute to the education of pediatric residents and medical students, and develop a productive funded research program.
 

Position Overview:
 

This full-time academic role combines clinical care, teaching and research within a collaborative health system. The successful candidate will:

• Join a multidisciplinary team to support the institutional clinical, educational and research missions.
• Provide comprehensive pediatric coverage within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at UTMB campuses.  
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an LCME or COCA accredited medical school. 
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
• Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted State of Texas Physician License. 
• Current U.S. DEA Practitioner registration.
• U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S. 
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.
• Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity. 

Income Package:

• Salary will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience.  The position includes a provision for dedicated research time. In addition, UTMB offers a superior benefits package, including an excellent retirement program and a relocation allowance.
