Job Description - Assistant Project Manager

Tri-City Group is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for an immediate opening in South Bend, IN.  The Assistant Project Manager will support project teams with day-to-day coordination, documentation, and tracking on a mission-critical hyperscale project. The Assistant Project Manager plays a key role in keeping projects organized, maintaining accurate information, and supporting execution from preconstruction through closeout.


 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Support project teams with documentation, submittals, and scope tracking

  • Assist with gathering quotes, takeoffs, and responding to RFIs/RFQs

  • Review quotes for scope gaps, pricing changes, and completeness

  • Maintain current drawings, specifications, and project documentation across platforms

  • Assist with shop drawings and submittal coordination

  • Track subcontractors, equipment, and quoted items

  • Support weekly reporting (labor, schedule progress, milestones, delivery updates)

  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors

  • Assist with project closeout including warranties, O&M manuals, and as-builts

  • Help coordinate vendor start-up, site access, and owner training



Qualifications: 



  • 1–2 years of construction or project coordination experience (preferred)

  • Familiarity with construction documents, submittals, and project workflows

  • Experience with tools such as Procore & Bluebeam (preferred)

  • Strong organizational and document management skills


 


Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This includes effective communication, a proactive approach to follow-up, and the ability to collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects moving forward.
