Location: Persico Hardware – Ravena, NY

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Starting at $25.00 / hour

Job Description

We are looking for a driven and organized individual for our Assistant Store Manager position to help lead our retail team at Persico Hardware in Ravena, NY. In this role, you will partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, manage inventory, execute merchandising strategies, and cultivate an excellent customer experience for our local community. We will work with you closely and make sure you have all the tools and training at your disposal to build a fulfilling career here at Persico Hardware.

Previous experience in a hardware setting is a major plus!

Key Responsibilities

· Team Leadership: Supervise and support a small group of staff; assist in training and mentoring team members, stepping in as the leader on duty when the Store Manager is away. Working with Store Manager on the hiring and scheduling of employees.

· Operations & Cash Handling: Ability to manage opening and closing procedures, secure cash handling, inventory receiving, and stockroom organization.

· Customer Service Excellence: Act as a point of contact for customer feedback, professionally and efficiently handling customer comments, concerns, and complaints to ensure a positive shopping experience.

· Sales & Merchandising: Help drive sales\ goals and ensure visual merchandising standards are met to keep the sales floor clean, organized, and welcoming.

Qualifications

· Previous managerial retail experience is required (Managerial in addition to other retail experience is also sufficient).

· Experience working in a hardware store or similar retail setting is highly preferred, although not required.

· Proven understanding of cash handling and opening/closing procedures.

· Strong track record in customer service and managing customer concerns.

· Experience supervising a small group of staff in a retail environment.

· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs.

Alternating Bi-Weekly Schedule: This position features a rotating schedule coordinated with the Store Manager. This rotating schedule includes:

· Alternating weekends off. Weekends on will include the preceding Friday and following Monday off.

· Fridays and Mondays on are 7:30-5. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays include alternating morning/afternoon 8 hour shifts(To be coordinated at time of hire).

· Saturdays 8-4 and Sundays 9-2

· Full 40 hour work weeks
