Job Description
Manage a litigation-driven caseload from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
Conduct legal research and case analysis on complex factual and legal issues
Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials with increasing responsibility
Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
Collaborate closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and legal staff on case strategy
Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel
Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active Michigan Bar license or eligibility for prompt admission
2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and deadlines
Professional judgment, integrity, and a team-oriented mindset
