ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ADULT DAY SERVICES

Salary Range: $95,000-$110,000/year

The Role: Brightway's Associate Director of Adult Day Services (ADS) oversees the operations of all day services components, including Day Habilitation, Vocational, Community Habilitation, Respite and Recreation. Our Associate Director of ADS also serves as a contributing member of our Senior Management team while collaborating with other departments internally, external service providers and families of the people we support.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee all program operations of the Agency’s Adult Day Services, including Day Habilitation, Vocational, Respite, the Main Street Masterpieces Art Gallery, and micro-businesses.
- Sufficiently hire and manage employees to carry out the objectives of the Adult Day Services Program.
- Ensure adequate training is provided for employees which results in excellent employee competencies.
- Develop annual budgets for each program service and manages the revenue and expenses to ensure budgetary goals are achieved.
- Supervise programs to ensure they provide excellent quality services which carry out the mission and values of the Agency.
- Regularly solicit feedback from individuals and families served as well as other stakeholders and incorporates same into the ongoing development of programs.
- Ensure all program services maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and necessary governmental certifications. Develop and implement quality improvement plans that include outcome measures.
- Ensure people serviced as well as employees of the programs are provided a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment.
- Assist the Administrative Director in the development of new programmatic services and options to meet the changing needs of individuals and their families.
- Work collaboratively to ensure clinical services are integrated as part of the programs.
- Supervise LMSW and Intake Specialist and ensure effective implementation of the admissions/discharge process for all Adult Day Services.
- Ensure positive and sufficient communications with employees, families and individuals served by the department.
- Coordinate the incident review process for the program. Chair Internal Occurrence Review Committee. Ensure all incidents are handled, reported & documented appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with other departments in the Agency.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with other agencies and governing entities.
- Participate on designated agency committees as assigned, i.e., Incident Review.
- Represent the agency on external committees and workgroups as assigned.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
What You Bring to Brightway
- Bachelor’s Degree in related human service field required.
- Seven (7) years of experience in advanced management level work related to providing high-quality services to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong working knowledge of State, Federal and OPWDD policies and regulations.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Suite applications.
- Strong analytical skills.
