Associate Fashion Designer Women's Contemporary Apparel

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• 
  

  Assist in the design and development of seasonal women's apparel collections from initial concept through production.

  
  


• 
  

  Research fashion trends, color palettes, fabrics, trims, prints, and competitive market trends to inspire each season.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop original print concepts, artwork, and layouts that align with the brand's aesthetic.

  
  


• 
  

  Create CADs, technical design packages, and presentation materials to support product development.

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with overseas vendors on print strike-offs, color approvals, and design execution.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in fittings and collaborate with Technical Design to communicate revisions and ensure product accuracy.

  
  


• 
  

  Organize design files, fabric and trim libraries, print archives, and seasonal samples.

  
  


• 
  

  Stay informed on emerging trends and bring fresh ideas to the team throughout each season.

  
  

REQUIREMENTS 

• 
  

  3+ years of fashion design experience, preferably within Junior or Young Contemporary apparel.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of women's fashion trends, color, print, and silhouette.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience developing prints, patterns, and graphic artwork.

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong sketching, CAD, and technical drawing skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and print techniques.

  
  


• 
  

  Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborative, proactive, and eager to contribute in a team-oriented environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with overseas factories and vendor communication.

  
  


• 
  

  Background in print development and women's apparel.

  
  


• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
