Associate Manager, Safety, Health \u0026 Environment (SHE) \n\nWayne, PA \u0026 Exton, PA\n\nThe Associate Manager, SHE, is a site\u2011based operational leadership role responsible for implementing and sustaining dsm-firmenich Biomedical\u2019s Safety, Health, and Environment programs in alignment with dsm\u2011firmenich SHE Requirements, applicable regulations and site procedures.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations at the dsm-firmenich Biomedical sites by providing hands-on SHE leadership, technical expertise, and coaching to employees and contractors.\n * Serve as a local subject-matter expert for occupational safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, and behavioral safety; support functions in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing effective controls.\n * Drive execution, compliance, and continuous improvement of SHE programs and requirements at site level.\n\n\n\nWe Bring:\n\n * A rich history and a promising future of bold scientific innovation and passionate creation with our customers;\n * A space to grow by encouraging and supporting curiosity and an open mindset;\n * A culture that prioritizes safety and well-being, both physically and mentally;\n * The opportunity to work for a company where sustainability is much more than a claim and is core to our strategy and purpose;\n * A flexible work environment that empowers people to take accountability for their work and own the outcome;\n * Barrier-free communities within our organization where every employee is equally valued and respected \u2013 regardless of their background, beliefs, or identity;\n * A firm belief that working together with our customers is the key to achieving great things;\n * An eagerness to be one team and learn from each other to bring progress to life and create a better future; \n\n\n\nYou Bring:\n\n * Minimum bachelor\u2019s degree in a technical or SHE discipline required.\n * Minimum 10 years\u2019 experience in manufacturing or operations with demonstrated SHE responsibility beyond basic compliance.\n * Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, audits/inspections, and SHE training program execution.\n * High level of conceptual and analytical thinking and ability.\n * Good knowledge of universally accepted SHE practices.\n * Cursory knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, European Union (EU) regulations, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations is desired.\n * Good knowledge of US OSHA regulations as they relate to general industry.\n * Good communication, social and advisory skills required.\n * Must have advanced computing skills in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\n\n\n\nThe salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant\u2019s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary: $88,000.00-$124,000.00.\n\nIn addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
