We're partnering with a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm seeking an Associate Managing Director II to help lead and expand its Tampa office. This is a high-impact leadership position offering the opportunity to drive business growth, oversee operations, mentor engineering teams, and play a key role in the firm's long-term strategic vision.

What You'll Do



  • Provide strategic leadership for the regional engineering practice.

  • Develop and execute annual business plans and growth strategies.

  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams.

  • Lead business development initiatives and cultivate long-term client relationships.

  • Expand existing accounts while identifying new market opportunities.

  • Oversee project delivery, technical excellence, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.

  • Manage office financial performance, including budgets, profitability, forecasting, billing, collections, and overall P&L.

  • Write proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage project risk.

  • Collaborate with national practice leaders on staffing, pursuits, and strategic initiatives.

  • Recruit senior technical staff and support leadership development throughout the organization.

  • Represent the firm through networking, industry organizations, conferences, and client presentations.

  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Who We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.

  • 15+ years of engineering consulting or construction industry experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years in engineering or office leadership.

  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Demonstrated success developing business and growing client relationships.

  • Strong understanding of MEP building systems and consulting engineering practices.

  • Experience managing office financial performance, budgets, and P&L.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to travel regionally as needed.
