About the Role 

As an Associate Outpatient Counselor, you will provide therapeutic services to children, youth, adults, and families in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to support client growth and progress. This role provides supervised clinical experience toward licensure and is ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience, strong supervision, and the opportunity to build confidence in assessment, care coordination, and clinical decision-making.  

What You’ll Do 

  • Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches  
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning  
  • Deliver crisis intervention, safety planning, and relapse prevention support  
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation  
  • Meet productivity expectations through direct service hours  
  • Provide psychoeducation and connect clients with community resources  
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in clinical meetings and supervision  
  • Continue developing your clinical skills through ongoing training and education

Working Conditions 

This position is performed primarily in a professional office and clinical environment without substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. 

Physical Requirements 

This position primarily involves sitting, with occasional standing and walking. The role may require occasionally lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Repetitive use of the hands, wrists, and fingers may be required for routine computer, phone, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

 

What You’ll Bring 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.  

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field  
  • Experience providing outpatient therapy using evidence-based approaches  
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to manage a full caseload  
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team  

Certificates/Licenses: 

  • Active Washington State Associate license, LMHCA, LICSWA, LMFTA 
  • Successfully pass background check applicable to position.
