Your new role

As a highly skilled technician, you will primarily support the continued growth of Ramboll’s Site Solutions team working primarily on state and federal remedial and operation and maintenance projects in the northeast United States. You may also work on projects in other Ramboll practice areas.

As a highly skilled technician with the Site Solutions team, you will bring knowledge and experience into play as you support our project teams to advance your career. This role offers a variety of opportunities to provide immediate support to our field programs and teams. In addition, this role may require remediation and operation and maintenance activities at our project sites. These additional tasks may include mixed media sampling, minor repairs of equipment, preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, and routine inspections.



Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting with implementation of field programs by participating in field work preparation and execution to characterize groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and air
  • Providing technical assistance, as required, to perform minor repairs of equipment, troubleshooting, and/or preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, routine inspections, and operations of remedial systems
  • Assisting with site and/or routine inspections
  • Order equipment and supplies for field activities
  • Maintain equipment, materials, and supplies at the office or job site
  • Fieldwork may require up to 50% travel and may also include overnight and occasional weekend work
  • The potential to oversee subcontractors to perform selected operations
  • The potential to interact with regulatory and client personnel while performing field activities

Qualifications

About You

  • Associate degree required; 3-5 years of experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint) preferred
  • Experience in field collection of groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and/or air samples
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification and current 8-hour refresher a plus
  • Ability to carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery (e.g., lull, forklift) a plus
  • The candidate will be comfortable working independently and under the supervision of other Ramboll team members
