Job Description - Associate Veterinarian

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our fast-paced, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Fairfield, Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, state-of-the-art veterinary facility with a supportive, collaborative team dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Our hospital treats primarily dogs and cats, and we are committed to delivering exceptional preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and wellness services using advanced veterinary technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions and injuries in small animals
  • Perform surgeries, dental procedures, and routine wellness care
  • Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care counseling
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff and referring veterinarians
  • Maintain high standards of patient care in a busy clinical setting
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development
  • Deliver excellent client communication and compassionate care

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
  • Eligible for or holding a Connecticut Veterinary License
  • 2+ years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates considered)
  • Internship training preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary starting at $130,000+
  • Up to $100,000 sign-on bonus + relocation assistance (if applicable)
