Pay: $325,000.00 - $450,000.00 per year

Location: Washington, DC – Hybrid schedule offering the flexibility to work both remotely and in a collaborative office environment.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state and have 3+ years of directly relevant ERISA fiduciary law experience. Candidates without substantive ERISA fiduciary experience cannot be considered.

Job Description

  • Advise clients on complex ERISA fiduciary compliance, governance, and regulatory matters.
  • Counsel plan sponsors, fiduciaries, financial institutions, and service providers on fiduciary responsibilities and risk management.
  • Analyze evolving ERISA regulations, Department of Labor guidance, and related legal developments.
  • Draft and review fiduciary documents, policies, agreements, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare practical client guidance.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Build trusted client relationships while managing sophisticated legal matters from strategy through execution.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and help clients proactively address regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Active Bar license in any U.S. state.
  • 3+ years of ERISA fiduciary law experience.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA, fiduciary obligations, and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience advising clients on complex employee benefits or fiduciary matters.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters with strong attention to detail.
