Salary: $55,000-65,000

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct initial assessments of athletes’ injuries or illnesses to provide emergency or continued care and determine whether referral to a physician is necessary.
  • Provide athletic injury prevention, assessment, treatment, first aid, and reconditioning in accordance with standards established by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) and National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
  • Provide services to student-athletes under the direction of the team physician or through written referral from a physician, in accordance with applicable state athletic training practice laws and regulations.
  • Perform proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment.
  • Serve as a liaison between student-athletes and Physical Therapists.
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents, physicians, patients, and Company staff.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff, athletes, coaches, and the general public.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in kinesiology/biomechanics, exercise physiology, infection control, professionalism and ethics, and the prevention and care of athletic injuries.
  • BOC certification required.
  • Current state athletic training licensure.
  • Knowledge of athletic injuries, including their prevention, recognition, assessment, treatment, and first aid.
  • Current CPR and/or AED certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with student-athletes, coaches, physicians, Physical Therapists, staff, and the general public.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to student-athletes.
