ATI Coordinator

Responsible for the effective integration and management of ATI progressive testing into the curriculum so that course
and program objectives, and desired outcomes are achieved. On-site 32 hours per week in Cross Lanes, WV with the remaining 8 hours being virtual/remote.

Qualifications
The ATI coordinator must meet the following requirements:

• Have an associate degree or higher


• Have experience or willing to learn and become an ATI master


• Interprofessional faculty teaching non-clinical nursing courses shall have advanced preparation appropriate for the content being taught.

Responsibilities:

• General:
  
  
  
  • Remain familiar with institutional policies and procedures as outlined in the College Catalog, and the Faculty Handbook and follow such policies and procedures.
  
  
  • Assist in the development, evaluation, and revision of student admission, progression, retention and graduation policies within the policies of West Virginia Junior College.
  
  
  • Be prompt and punctual in reporting for work, in meeting classes, and in keeping office hours.
  
  
  • Serve on Nursing Staff committees as assigned.
  
  
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of materials such as those used in academic administration when requested.
  
  
  • Promote student development through enrichment and mentoring experiences as it relates to ATI progressive testing.
  
  
  • Assist the students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.

  • Continually integrate ATI into curriculum as necessary to maintain acceptable levels of student, graduate, and program outcomes.
  
  
  • Training of students and faculty on the use of the ATI program.
  
  
  • Scheduling and proctoring of all ATI related testing
  
  
  • Working with students for all ATI remediation and re-testing needs
  
  
  • Maintaining historical data and documentation related to the use of ATI, such that it is organized, readily available, and safe from loss or theft.
  
  
  
  


• Didactic Instruction

  • Follow the syllabus as approved by the Curriculum Committee
  
  
  • Teach courses as assigned within the scope of the law
  
  
  • Design and implement teaching strategies that will assist a nursing student to meet the course outcomes.
  
  
  • Evaluate each assigned nursing student’s achievement, progress and outcomes
  
  
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum using a written plan.
  
  
  • Provide academic advising and guidance to students.
  
  
  • Maintain high standards and promote excellence in education.
  
  
  • Collect, record, maintain, and submit accurate class records including grades, absences, withdrawal, and/or class drop information to Nursing Program Director
  
  
  • Maintain attendance records for classes taught.
  
  
  • Evaluate the progress of students in all classes according to institutional, divisional, departmental, and individual criteria.

While the ATI Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling all primary responsibilities listed above to achieve the immediate
goals of the campus, he/she is responsible to meet all organizational goals. As such adjustments or additions to these
responsibilities and the methods by which they are achieved may be required by management to ensure operational
effectiveness and efficiency across departments, campuses, and the organization as a whole.
