Audit & Assurance Senior

A well-established CPA firm in Seattle is looking to add an Audit Senior to its growing Assurance team. This is a great opportunity for a public accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients and wants exposure to a variety of audit, review, and compilation engagements.

What You'll Do

• Lead and perform financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion.


• Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP.


• Prepare and review engagement workpapers and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.


• Handle client communication and serve as a key point of contact throughout engagements.


• Identify accounting and financial reporting issues and work with Managers and Partners to resolve them.


• Assist with engagement planning, scheduling, and budgeting.


• Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and provide coaching and feedback.


• Research accounting and auditing matters as needed.


• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.


• Work closely with the firm's tax team when engagements overlap.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working on audit, review, and compilation engagements.


• Strong experience with financial statement preparation and disclosures.


• Solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS.


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.


• Strong communication and client-service skills.


• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.


• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with Managers and Partners.

The Ideal Candidate

We're particularly interested in someone coming from a small to midsize public accounting firm who has had broad exposure to different types of financial statement engagements.

This is not an audit-only position. Someone who has experience with reviews, compilations, financial statement preparation, and client accounting issues would be an especially strong fit.
