Auditor, Active Enrolled Agent, or CPA

AUDITOR, ACTIVE ENROLLED AGENT or CPA (Permanent)
Our client, an established local CPA firm in WNY, is looking to hire an Auditor Enrolled Agent, or CPA to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity in their North Towns location with room for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the tax department, overseeing over 1000 EZ returns for individual clients
  


• Review returns for accuracy and ensure they are filed in a timely manner
  


• Support tax team members with advice and guidance to ensure tax returns are prepared and filed accurately, on time, and maintaining compliance
  


• Have a thorough understanding of state and federal tax laws
  


• Provide insight and advice to clients ensuring they understand their tax obligations and explaining the outcomes
  


• Address inquiries/issues in a timely manner, offering educated answers and resolutions
  


• Ensure compliance is maintained at all times, ensuring changes in tax laws are implemented immediately into client services
  


• Work well in a team environment as well as independently
  


• Work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, juggling multiple clients at a time
  


• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full time, direct hire
  


• 100% in-office:
  




• Standard 40 hours/week
  


• 60 hours/week during tax season (February 1^st – April 15^th) with mandatory Saturdays
  


• 36 hours/week over the summer with flexibility
  




• $60,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience
  


• Bachelors degree in Accounting or similar
  


• Active Enrolled Agent certification or CPA license

• 3+ years’ tax accounting/preparation experience
