Austin Sprinkler Service Technician

Description

 The right candidate for this position should be proficient at servicing and maintaining various fire sprinkler systems. Ability to lead, train and mentor less knowledgeable co-workers and teammates. Provide a positive attitude towards Firetron, its employees and customers.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to sprinkler systems of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pump.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to perform repairs from information on a deficiency list and call-in basis.
• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Participation in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
• Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
• Must adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Experience with power machine, threader and other essential tools.
• Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Must be able to follow, read and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.
