In addition to your automation responsibilities, you will oversee the facilities and utilities operations of the distribution center. This includes managing building infrastructure systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting. Monitoring utility consumption (electricity, gas, and water) to drive cost efficiencies. You will ensure the facility remains compliant with applicable building codes and safety regulations, coordinate capital improvement and renovation projects with external contractors, and maintain a safe, well-functioning environment that supports the broader distribution center operations.

  • Manage inventory and prepare quarterly reports on the usage of spare parts; take action to requisition new spares to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements in the workplace.

  • Lead regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safe work practices and communicate updates to safety policies and procedures.

  • Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; document findings and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel operating within the Distribution Center.

  • Conduct periodic safety risk assessments for automation and facilities operations, identifying hazards and recommending mitigating controls.

  • Generate reports on CMMS Software to evaluate repair trends and make recommendations to management.
