Automation Engineer Nashville, TN.

We're seeking a Senior Automation & Controls Engineer to support and improve manufacturing automation systems in a fast paced production environment. This role will lead controls programming, system integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Compensation

• $130,000 - $145,000
• Full-time direct hire position
• Nashville, TN area

What You'll Do

• Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
• Support automation projects from concept through implementation
• Improve manufacturing efficiency, uptime, and system reliability
• Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams
• Support equipment startups, upgrades, and process improvements
• Diagnose and resolve controls and automation issues
• Assist with MES and system integration initiatives
• Develop and maintain technical documentation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with HMI, SCADA, and controls integration
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networks
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
