Automotive Acquisitions/Buying Center Manager

As an Acquisitions/Buy Center Manager, you will oversee the vehicle acquisition process and manage the buy center operations with efficiency and precision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality inventory, negotiating with sellers, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure our dealership is stocked with desirable vehicles that meet our customers' expectations.  

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the vehicle acquisition process to maximize profitability and inventory quality.


• Negotiate purchase prices with sellers and vendors while adhering to budget guidelines.


• Coordinate with sales, finance, and inventory teams to align acquisitions with market demand.


• Build and maintain relationships with auctions, wholesalers, and private sellers.


• Monitor market trends and competitor inventory to make informed purchasing decisions.


• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to vehicle acquisition.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in automotive acquisitions, inventory management, or similar roles.


• Strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of vehicle valuation.


• Ability to analyze market trends and adjust purchase strategies accordingly.


• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.


• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.


• Familiarity with dealership software and inventory management systems is a plus.
