Automotive Body Shop Estimator

John Kennedy Collision Center in Willow Grove has a rare opportunity for an experienced estimator to join the team. You MUST have a Pennsylvania Estimator’s License. If your background in estimating meets our qualifications, this can be an excellent career move for you. Our facility handles a high volume of work and has the latest technology and tools to meet our production deadlines and exceed the quality standards our many DRPs expect.

This opportunity offers you the ability to work in a high-volume collision center with over 32,000 square feet of the latest technology and equipment. This facility handles a full range of work and is well-established with numerous insurance companies, including one that placed an office in our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers to begin the process of estimating parts and labor to create an estimate that will be submitted to insurance companies.


• Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.


• Knowledge of most major Insurance Direct Repair Program protocols and the ability to upload estimates/images online that meet those standards.


• Maintain contact with customers while the vehicle is in the repair process, keeping them updated on the status of the repair.


• Reconcile and prepare for invoicing final invoices that match approved estimates.


• Contact customers well in advance of completion to communicate when they can expect the repair to be completed.

Desired Qualifications:

• You must possess a Pennsylvania Estimator’s License


• Minimum two years’ experience as an Estimator at an auto body shop


• Outstanding communication skills


• Professional appearance


• Positive work ethic


• Great attitude with a high-energy personality


• Superior customer service skills


• Basic understanding of vehicle systems


• Basic understanding of computer keyboard operations


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record


• Ability to multitask


• High school diploma or equivalent
