Automotive Body Shop Technician (Journeyman)

Pundmann Ford is seeking to fill an immediate opening for an experienced, detail-oriented Journeyman Body Shop Technician.  Work Schedule will be Day Shift, Monday thru Friday.  The ideal candidate has proven expertise in structural and non-structural collision repair, a strong work ethic, and the ability to restore vehicles to OEM specifications with precision and care.  If you are a dedicated technician who takes pride in high-quality repairs, we’d love to speak with you !!

Key Responsibilities

•              Perform structural, sheet metal, and plastic body repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

•              Realign body frames and chassis using modern measuring and frame equipment.

•              Disassemble damaged vehicles, identify hidden damage, and assist in preparing accurate estimates/supplement requests.

•              Replace or repair damaged body parts, bumpers, panels, glass, and structural components.

•              Weld, grind, sand, and fill surfaces in preparation for the paint team.

•              Perform post-repair inspections and test alignments to ensure vehicles meet OEM safety standards.

•              Maintain a clean, organized work station and adhere to all safety and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

•              Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a collision repair body technician (Journeyman level).

•              Certifications: I-CAR Gold Class or ASE Collision Repair certifications strongly preferred.

•              Tools: Must possess a complete set of personal hand and power tools suitable for a Journeyman technician.

•              Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of OEM repair guidelines, frame pulling systems, MIG/resistance welding, and vehicle diagnostics/calibration basics.

•              Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
