Help Customers Take the First Step

Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDC) to join our team. We’re available to interview qualified candidates immediately, and the right person can start as soon as possible.

If you enjoy talking with people, staying organized, and turning a helpful conversation into a scheduled appointment, we’d like to meet you. You DO NOT need to sell but you MUST be driven! Automotive experience is not required. We’ll teach you our vehicles, systems, and process.

Call center experience is a huge plus. Fluency in Spanish or Chinese is also a huge plus.

Here in Norwich, you’ll represent our Chevrolet dealership and help local customers feel welcome from their first phone call, text, or email. We value strong relationships, reliable follow-through, and a team that takes pride in the customer experience.

What You’ll Do

As a member of our BDC team, you’ll be one of the first people customers connect with when they’re interested in a vehicle. You’ll:

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone, text, and email


• Answer initial questions and help customers understand their next steps


• Schedule and confirm showroom appointments


• Follow up with customers who have expressed interest in a vehicle


• Reconnect with customers who are still considering their options


• Contact customers approaching the end of a vehicle lease


• Keep customer records and follow-up notes accurate in our CRM


• Share appointment details with the sales team


• Work toward appointment and customer service goals while making every interaction feel personal

Your focus is to start the conversation, build trust, and help customers schedule a visit. Our sales team will take it from there.

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, confident communication by phone, text, and email


• Strong listening skills and a customer-first approach


• Dependability, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through


• Comfort using a computer and learning new systems


• The ability to manage several conversations and tasks throughout the day


• A positive attitude and willingness to learn from coaching

Especially valuable experience and skills:

• Call center or high-volume phone experience


• Fluency in Spanish and/or Chinese, including Mandarin or Cantonese


• Appointment setting, customer service, hospitality, retail, reception, or inside sales experience


• Automotive dealership or CRM experience

You do not need prior automotive experience to apply.

Training and Support

We’ll provide training in customer communication, appointment scheduling, CRM use, vehicle basics, and our dealership’s follow-up process. You’ll also receive ongoing coaching as you grow into the role.
